Colorado River Rafting
Cataract Canyon - Express  (CA2)

The white water rafting details

Day 1 – Lunch & Dinner
Your adventure begins at the Tag-A-Long office at 7:00 a.m. After a short, scenic ride to the Potash Boat Ramp downstream of Moab and a brief orientation, we launch! As you drift on the calm waters of the Colorado River, your guide will discuss the natural and human history, geology, and flora and fauna. There is a walk into a petrified forest followed by your guides showing off their culinary skills when preparing your lunch. Late afternoon, we stop to set up our first camp in a picturesque spot near the river. Instruction on setting up tents makes it quick and easy, so you can spend your time getting to know your companions, playing horseshoes, or burying your toes in the sand. Dinners on the river consist of an appetiser, main course with a salad, and dessert.

Day 2 – Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
After breakfast we continue down the Colorado River. Along the way, there is a visit to prehistoric Indian ruins from the Anasazi culture, and take a hike (if you like) over "the Loop" to get a bird's eye view of the Colorado River. Lunch will be after the confluence of two great rivers, the Green and the Colorado. Before heading into legendary Cataract Canyon white water, your guides will give you a thorough white water briefing and then tell you to hang on and have fun! Today we will hit most of the rapids, including the famed "Big Drops". Your camp will be charged with excitement as you recount tales of running the rapids.

Day 3 – Breakfast & Lunch
After breakfast, we finish the rapids and start across Lake Powell, a red rock and blue water wonderland. Swap stories, swim and absorb the abundant beauty of this amazing landscape. We arrive at Hite Marina by afternoon where you embark for the return trip to Moab. We recommend the scenic flight over Canyonlands National Park and the rapids you just rafted.
