Half Day whitewater alternative for the whole family

The Details

kayaking on the Colorado

Your day of fun on the river begins at 8:40 a.m. for the morning half-day and 11:40 a.m. for the afternoon half-day at Tag-A-Long's office in Moab where you board shuttles for the scenic bus ride to the river "put in." The morning half of your expedition takes you through a photographer's paradise as you pass by Fisher Towers, Professor Valley, and stunning red rock formations such as the Nuns and the Priest and Castle Rock. You'll be gazing out over landscape where many famous classic movies were filmed including John Wayne's Fort Apache and Rio Grand. More recently, this area was the backdrop for City Slickers II and Larger Than Life. Your day flows into Onion Creek, Professor Creek, New Rapid and Ida Gulch in the a.m. In the p.m. half-day there are many unnamed smaller riffles and the tricky White's Rapid. But don't worry, your expert guide knows how to give you the best ride with the best safety measures! You'll bounce and bubble over many more rapids and ripples during this playful expedition. Your schedule is leisurely with plenty of time for swimming and water fights before this perfect day on the Colorado River is over.
