An exciting day of rapids in Westwater Canyon will make you feel like you've just spent a week in the backcountry. You'll encounter 12 agitated, brawling rapids in one of the more unusual canyons in the West. As you float down canyon, the walls squeeze the river into a narrow gorge where it erupts into spectacular rapids. The result is big holes, big waves and a thrill a minute! In a small row raft you are as close to the action as you can be as your expert guide negotiates Funnel Falls, Skull Rapid, and Sock It To Me! Just see if you can escape the Room of Doom and the Magnetic Wall! Your journey also takes you through some of the most fascinating geology on Planet Earth. In Westwater Canyon, the river cuts through the black Pre-Cambrian rock, some of the oldest found anywhere on earth. You'll hike side canyons and see 1000-year old Indian writings. Those with sharp eyes will spot eagles, blue heron and the elusive ibis. We'll make stops at historic mining sites and at night, you'll probably want to sleep out under more stars than you've ever seen. This getaway is so full and so exciting, you'll feel like you've been gone for two weeks, not two days!
