A winter secret is this cross country ski, winter camping expedition into the La Sal Mountains near Moab. The huts are remote. The skiing is moderate to difficult, but the scenery and solitude is absolutely worth it! Up to 5 - 8 miles of rolling terrain skiing can occur in one day. Fitness Level: Excellent to above average. Trails to huts do not require skins. Telemark ski and trekking skiing available from huts. |
