The
Big Picture
Thousands come to see
the famed Arches National
Park. Arches National Park has a marvelous paved way that can be driven
on your own. However, some visitors will enjoy a
guided look at the park to hear the stories of
it's founding, descriptions of the geology, to
learn more about the flora and fauna, and
experience the dirt trail. Tag-A-Long Expeditions
holds a National Park Service backcountry vehicle permit to go
on off road 4x4 trails in Arches National Park. Couple
this with our recent model Ford 4x4 vehicles to
enjoy realms seldom seen in Arches National Park.
Consider river
rafting today too. If
river rafting seems too rigorous, but you still want to experience
the Colorado River, combine an Arches 4x4 trip with our
ever popular
Canyonlands calm water Colorado River motor boat trip!
This Arches National Park half-day 4x4 trip, suitable for people of all ages,
delivers professional interpretation, just enough 4x4 adventure, and the best
sightseeing of arroyos, dinosaur evidence and
monoliths along our shortest off road adventure.
The
Details
Your 4x4 adventure begins at the Tag-A-Long office
at 7:15 a.m.
in Moab
where you
board a comfortable, air-conditioned expedition
vehicle. You are transported to a myriad of rock
features that sets Arches National Park at the top
of the list-to-do for Moab and, largely, Utah. Along the way,
there are opportunities to make photographs to
make your visit to Moab memorable and
get out of the vehicle to stretch your legs.
Our clear desert days allow an outstanding vision
of the unusual rock spires and outcroppings
against the back drop of a small mountain range
beside Moab. Throughout the day your guide will
bring the park to life with information on the
local region. Four Wheel Drive departures
are at 7:30 a.m. , 1:30 p.m. (1:00 p.m. in 2009) , and 6:00 p.m. (
6:00 p.m. limited to July and August). Plan to
meet 15 minutes prior to departure to check in.
This Arches
National Park guided tour
lasts for four hours.
